Tracy Green, Attorney at Law
Recipient of the Public Counsel Law Center's “Outstanding Advocate” Award in 1999, Tracy Green is a founding partner of Green & Associates. She combines dedicated personal attention to her clients with a results-oriented approach and more than 15 years of experience in health care law.“I am passionate about achieving the best possible result for my clients,” she says. “I have an immense work ethic. I’m tenacious, I prepare meticulously, and I put my client’s future first. I protect my clients to the best of my ability and always emphasize the importance of taking control of legal issues at the earliest opportunity.”
Ms. Green received a B.A. in economics from Arizona State University, where she held an academic scholarship. During a subsequent internship at the Residential Utility Consumer Office — an Arizona state agency that exposes practices detrimental to consumers — she realized that a law career would enable her to make a real difference in people’s lives.
After earning a Juris Doctor degree with honors from the University of Arizona Law School in 1987, Ms. Green clerked for Justice William A. Holohan of the Arizona Supreme Court and for Judge Joe Contreras of the Arizona Court of Appeals. She was admitted to the State Bar of California in 1988.
Early in her career, Ms. Green served as a staff attorney at two large national and international firms, respectively: Lewis, D’Amato Brisbois & Bisgaard (now known as Lewis Brisbois Bisgaard & Smith) and McDermott, Will & Emery, noted for the quality of its health care and litigation departments.
Ms. Green’s many professional memberships include the American Bar Association, the American Health Lawyers Association, the American Trial Lawyers Association, California Attorneys for Criminal Justice, and California Public Defenders Association. She served on the Board of Directors of the National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers. She also served on the Board of Directors of the California Naturopathic Doctors Association.
At professional conferences nationwide, Ms. Green speaks on defending health care fraud cases, representing professionals in criminal and administrative matters, and appropriate responses to government investigations.
Committed to giving back to the Los Angeles community, Ms. Green has consistently taken on pro bono casework (for the public good, without pay). She served on the boards of the American Youth Soccer Organization Region 214 (San Marino-South Pasadena) and Arroyo Vista Elementary PTA, and has conducted training sessions in law for numerous nonprofit organizations. Ms. Green is currently serving on the board of the South Pasadena Middle School as auditor and on the board of the South Pasadena Middle School Athletic Booster Club as treasurer.
